I started working for First Team when I was 19 years old. At first, I wasn’t completely sure if it was a forever career or just a job. However, shortly after joining the team at First Team Hampton Chevrolet, I quickly realized this is a place I would be proud to call home for my entire career. I began my career as a sales consultant, and for the past 18 years the company helped me grow into the person and professional that I wanted to be. Today, I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead our team as the General Manager at First Team Hampton Chevrolet. You can find a job anywhere. I’ve been in the car business for 18 years and have worked at First Team for almost 3 years. This is the first company that I’ve worked with that truly values a balanced view of work and home life. First Team has been a great company to work for since I began with them in 2015. The overall atmosphere and company culture is welcoming at all tiers. There is always room for growth and personal development through continuous training and activities available to employees. The great thing about these training and activities is the corporate participation and bonding, which says a lot about the founders and ownership. We also have great benefits!

When an owner or upper management is walking through the building and they call out to you by your name, it is a good feeling. It shows that they care. Being a person and not just a number is refreshing. The whole dealer group is like a great big family. When employees have been working for the same company for not only years but decades, you know that you are doing something right. My husband and I have been working for First Team a combined 40+ years and are not planning to go anywhere any time soon.
